03 — How it's made

From waste
to briquettes

A simple, clean process: dry sawdust, high pressure, no fuss. The result is a fuel block that replaces coal and firewood in industrial boilers.

Collect

Sawdust and wood waste from the timber and wood-processing industry is gathered at our Umiam yard — waste that would otherwise be dumped or burnt in the open.

Dry

The raw sawdust is dried and cleaned through our drying and cyclone system, so every briquette burns hot and steady.

Compress

On East India's only automatic briquetting plant, the sawdust is compressed under high pressure and temperature into dense, uniform logs.

Deliver

Finished 60 mm and 90 mm briquettes are bagged and trucked across the North East, West Bengal and Bihar — monsoon included.
